Luminar Entertainment, the UK’s largest nightclub operator has adapted two of its venues to offer a full live music experience.
The venues, Tru in Brighton and Oceana in Plymouth, with 850 and 1000 capacity respectively, have had over £100,000 invested in them to bring the sound system and environment up to the level needed to host gigs.
Tim Howard, Head of Entertainment for Luminar says ‘Luminar clubs regularly host performances by many of the country’s leading artists and enhancing this operation is a natural progression. Brighton and Plymouth both have a vibrant live music scene, huge catchment areas, yet under represented with suitable venues. The venues will fill this gap and provide a fantastic experience to musicians, music fans and promoters alike, a number of the big national promoters have already shown an interest in the venues. The work will be completed in time for the peak autumn indoor touring season’.
Luminar have retained James Bruce, formerly of the Mama Group to assist in booking talent to perform at the two venues.
